Thomas's Hotel has been part of the Christchurch accommodation scene for the past 12 years.
We are a budget hotel with 43 rooms, some with ensuite. Since the February 2011 earthquakes we have taken the opportunity to make some major upgrades to our Christchurch hotel including a state of the art key card system, internet (both cable and WIFI), computers in the kitchen to give you inspirational menu ideas, wiring for satellite TV and full security system throughout our premises. New flooring and a brand new paint scheme make us one very stylish budget hotel.
UPDATE FOR RETURNING GUESTS & FRIENDS OF OUR HOTEL
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement as we undergo our rebuild. While it has been daunting having lost chimneys and exterior walls almost collapsing, your support has kept us in good spirits. The exterior annex building was also condemned but has since been rebuilt, stronger and better than before.
Ziggy our hotel cat was evacuated in March 2011. For the first three weeks, she stayed at the hotel with a staff member returning daily to feed her. But in the long term, this was not going to work. Ziggy spent nearly six months in a local Pet Lodge before being relocated to our summer hostel in the Catlins. She has been there for the past 18 months and then spent her last three months in another Pet lodge before being returned to our hotel. Ziggy has been with the hotel since we first opened 12 years ago, so I am sure she is pleased to be back in Christchurch.
Ziggy and all of us from Thomas’s Hotel look forward to seeing you again soon.
